Online terms of sale
These terms describe ordinary product orders. Catering and recurring orders have separate terms.
Order formation
Submitting checkout creates a pending order only after server validation of current products, prices, stock, minimum order and delivery. A browser return from the payment provider does not by itself mark an order as paid or confirmed.
Payment
Payment is processed by the secure payment provider configured at checkout. Olive Jar does not store raw card numbers or CVV data. Payment is marked paid only after a trusted provider notification passes the required signature, amount and provider validation.
Price and availability
Prices are shown in South African rand. The authoritative price is recorded on each order item. If stock or delivery becomes unavailable before order creation, checkout is blocked rather than silently substituted.
Minimum order and delivery
Standard local delivery requires at least R200 in merchandise unless a designed bundle has an explicit qualifying rule. Olive Jar currently delivers within the Cape Town metro and Stellenbosch, subject to successful address verification and the current delivery range. The delivery charge is calculated from the verified driving route and the configured rate. Collection is available only when enabled.
Cancellations and refunds
Cancellation and refund eligibility depends on payment, fulfilment, perishability and applicable law. Administrative refunds require a recorded reason and remain separate from fulfilment status.
